Our annual NEUROConference seeks to educate youth on the different pathways in the neuroscience and medical fields. The conference consists of a keynote speaker, workshops, resource booths, panelists, and a competition. We go beyond our boundaries to help students connect and gain a deeper understanding of the world of neuroscience.
The Neurothon is an online competition happening in early January, where high school students will have 40 hours to solve a neuroscience-based case. Over the course of the Neurothon, students, in teams of one to four members, will have the opportunity to attend lectures and panel discussions hosted by university students in the medical sciences. During this event, students will be able to develop their writing and critical thinking skills, all while forming new friendships.
October is Autism Awareness Month! Throughout the month, YMAP will be sharing information on our social media pages so that we can all become more educated on the topic of autism. In addition to that, YMAP will be hosting speakers to come share their experiences. As the month progresses, this page with be updated with more and more information. Join us as we amplify the voices of autistic individuals.
